Book Review for Before I Fall by Lauren Oliver

Before I fall by Lauren Oliver
Release date: March 2nd, 2012
Publisher: HarperCollins
Pages: 470

Summary: What if you only had one day to live? What would you do? Who would you kiss? And how far would you go to save your own life?
Samantha Kingston has it all: the perfect boyfriend, three amazing best friends, and the first pick of everything at Thomas Jefferson High--from the best table in the cafateria to the choicest parking spot. Friday, February 12, should just be another day in her charmed life.
Instead, it turns out to be her last. Only, then she gets a second chance. Seven chances, in fact. Samantha keeps reliving her last day during one miraculous week, she will untangle the mystery surronding her death and discover the true value of everything she is in danger of losing.

Thoughts: Before I Fall by Lauren Oliver is a tremendous stand alone read that will keep you up until your eyes fall out. This book is undescribable, it is that good.
I have so many mixed emotions toward this book because on one page Im balling my eyes out but on the next page, Im happy as can be! Lauren Oliver does a fantastic job in the writing categorie. She makes you feel so connected with the book that when it ends, a part of you ends with it.
Also, look at the cover; yes, its a girls face but with the grass in front of it and her bright blue eyes a pink lips, it makes the cover so soft but beautiful. I would read this book 100 times in a row and still not get bored, garenteed.
The main character, Samantha goes through a hard time, dieing and all, but in the end she truely is a good person. Plus, she is a really fun and awesome protagonist that keeps you interested in the story and also makes it a bit more fun then I think it would have been without her as the protagonist.
If you havent read Before I Fall by Lauren Oliver yet, I strongly advise you to go to the store and pick this book up right NOW! Dont even think about going to the library for this read.
I would give Before I Fall by Lauren Oliver a 5 out of 5 stars because this is an irresistable read that I think everyone in the world should read or at least give it a chance!

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars

Book Review for I am Number Four by Pittacus Lore

I am Number Four by Pittacus Lore
Release date: August 3rd, 2010
Publisher: HarperCollins
Pages: 440

Summary: Nine of us came here. We look like you. We talk like you. We live among you but... We are not you. We have powers you dream of having. We are the superhero's you worship in comic books. But We are real.
They caught Number One in Malaysia.
Number Two in England.
Number Three in Kenya.
They killed them all.
I am Number Four. I am Next.
Thoughts: I am Number Four is a fabulous read full of action and adventure that just grabs you into the whole story and you cannot get over how action-packed this book is. Seriously, like every page has a really intense scene. It was awesome! I couldn't get my nose out of this book until I was finished the very last word.
I found John Smith(aka. Number 4), a very fun but still dark protagonist which was really cool. I really liked having him tell the story in his head. If any other character would have been the protagonist, I don't think I would like the story as much as I did.
Pittacus Lore, well...what to say, he wrote I am Number Four amazingly and makes the book draw you in every page and your mind has to think about the book 24/7 until your done. When you are reading to the book, Pittacus Lore makes you feel like you are really in the book. He makes his reads so fun and full of adventure to really pull you into the story. I had a really fun and awesome time reading his book.
I adored all of the character's in this book but by far my favourite would have to be, John Smith, Sam and Six. They were all really fun and dangerous, in a way. Only they all seem to have a really grasping thing about them which just pulls you in. Who was your favourite character?
I Am Number Four is a fantastic book that you will love and if you are interested in the topic and think you will really like it, I suggest buying it because it will be a book you want to read again and again. (Plus the cover is really cool!). I would rate I am Number Four by Pittacus Lore a 5/5 stars.
Rating: 5/5 stars
Recommended for people who like: Action-packed novels, series, Adventure, Extraterrestrials and a great protagonist!

Book Review for Shiver by Maggie Stiefvater

Shiver by Maggie Stiefvater
Release date:  August 1st, 2009
Publisher: Scholastic Inc.
Pages: 392

Summary: Grace and Sam have a very, well complicated relationship. When the weather turns cold, Sam grows some fur and turns into a wolf. Sam only has a few years left until he might turn into a wolf, forever. So Sam and Grace must fight to keep each other and be able to stay together forever...or will it be to late.

Shiver is a compelling, stirring supernatural teen romance that nobody will be able to put down!

Thoughts: Shiver is one of the best books I have ever read. You cannot go wrong if you choose to read this book, it is so good and every page just pulls you in and you don't want to go out.
Maggie Stiefvater really needs to be given a big, no huge, pat on the back for writing one of the best books ever! She writes the book so while and makes the main characters, Sam and Grace so relatible and you can really feel their emotions as you read this book. The way Maggie Stiefvater writes Shiver just pulls me into the book even more than I thought I would be.
This book is one of the best book I have ever read and I don't think I will ever be able to get it out of my head. I just loved every aspect of Shiver and when Grace and/or Sam made a problem or very stressful things were happening I was screaming in my head! Maggie Stiefvater even brought tears to my eyes at one point in the book, so I had to take a break to calm down because I couldn't see the words. I found this as an example Of where Maggie Stiefvater did a job well done in making me really feel the character's emotions and really feel for them.
I find Maggie Stiefvater's writing very fluent and enjoyable to read. She really does a good job with writing the books and just gives the book an extra special touch.
Shiver is an amazing book that I advise Everyone  to read and at least give the book a try. I would rate Shiver by Maggie Stiefvater 5/5 stars because I just love this book so much and I couldn't find any flaws in Shiver, it was that good!

Book Review for The Selection by Kiera Cass

The Selection by Kiera Cass
Release date: April 24th, 2012
Publisher: HarperTeen
Pages: 327

Summary: Thirty-five girls are chosen to go to the castle for a chance to meet the adorable Prince Maxon and have a chance to become his future bride. The girls are entered into, The Selection.
Only for America Singer, being Selected is the worst possible nightmare that could ever happen because America has her whole life planned out. She will sing for her career and marry her secret love, Aspen. But now she has to leave her home to compete for a crown, and a man that she doesn't even want. Soon, she will be living in a palace that is threatened by rebel attacks and with the thirty-four other girls try to knock her out of the competition that America doesn't even want to win.
Then, America meets Prince Maxon and gradually, she starts to question her decision about the rest of her life that she has always dreamed of that may not compare to the future she never imagined.

Thoughts: The Selection was a much better book then what I expected it to be. I had heard a bunch of people giving this book a very low rating like 1 or 2/5 stars so I was a little bit worried about how much I would like this book and how much I'd be into it but once I started the book, I just flew through it. I loved the whole topic and the way that the book was written. Kiera Cass did a fantastic job with the heart break aspects and it even made me cry at points. She also did a really good job with America's mixed personality throughout the book and she made all of them very believable and just did an overall good job with all the characters.
The only flaw I found in this book was the starting. It started off a little bit slow but only the first few pages and then got into the forbidden love and the parts about getting picked for the Selection and then just went into full on action packed mode. The other little thing is it took like 40-50 pages of the book to actually get to The Selection point so that was one of the reasons that I found the book a bit slow at the beginning but other than that, this book is FANTASTIC!!!
I really liked America as a protagonist, she was fun, sad and when she was mad, she was really strong and spoke her opinion which I think is a trait of a strong heroine. She really did make the book better and I felt so bad for her because all she saw in herself was all of her flaws and the bad things about her and the good things about everyone else, which was really sweet and nice but also sad since she didn't see how amazing she really was.
I would rate, The Selection by Kiera Cass a 4/5 stars because it was a really good, thrilling book that is a fabulous read that many people do like and then some don't but it surprised me and I really like it so I do suggest that people read it and give it a chance!

Book Review for Everneath by Brodi Ashton

Everneath by Brodi Ashton
Release date: January 24th, 2012
Publisher: HarperCollins/ Balzer+Bray
Pages: 370

Summary: Last spring, Nikki Beckett disappeared out of thin air and was taken to the Everneath. The Everneath is where immortals Feed on the emotions of desperate humans.
Now, she's returned to her old life, family and friends but she only has six months to say good-bye and being banished back to the underworld and this time forever.
Nikki is craving to reconnect with with her boyfriend, Jack. The one person that Nikki came back for and loves more than anything. There is only one problem. Cole, the immortal who took Nikki to the Everneath and now believe that Nikki is his queen and then they can take over the Everneath. One problem in Cole's plan is that Nikki doesn't want to go back wth him and have to Feed on other peoples emotions.
As Nikki's time starts to grow shorter, her relationships are slipping from her grasp and she is forced with the hardest decision: find a way to cheat the Everneath and remain on the surface or return with Cole and become his queen...

Thoughts: Everneath is an amazing novel that has such a twisting plot line that will keep you with the book at all times. Every page draws you in and you won't want to put it down. Every single page has a part that just makes you not want to keep reading. I love the way that Brodi Ashton wrote Everneath and came up with all of the plot ideas. The creative writing was fabulous and was just a really well done book.
I really liked Nikki as the main character because she was so quirky and fun. I really liked her brave personality and she just made the book even better then I thought it would be.
Another thing that I really enjoyed was the way that Brodi Ashton made me have so many mixed emotions toward this book. At times I would cry and wasn't able to read the book and other times I would have these happy moments where I was constantly smileing and laughing at random points. Sometimes when Nikki was with her boyfriend, Jack and I would be so happy. I was like, "Yes, come on, get back together. He loves you Nikki! Don't you see it!!!" Then there were the times when Nikki was with Jack and then Cole was there and I was thinking to myself, go away Cole! You are just going to mess everything up even more and hurt Nikki and then Nikki and Jack can't be together!!! Those were the most stressful moments becasue I was really connecting with the characters and the book which is another thing Brodi Ashton does very well, she brings the story to life in readers minds and makes you really feel like you are part of the story.
I would give Everneath by Brodi Ashton a 4/5 stars because it was a really good book and is such a book worth reading becasue it is so good and you will not be able to put this book down. Plus, it has such a good and original plot that makes the book super amazing!

Rating: 4/5 stars

Book Review for Once: An Eve Novel by Anna Carey

Once: An Eve Novel by Anna Carey
Release date: July 3rd, 2012
Publisher: HarperCollins
Pages: 368

Summary: NO SUMMARY BECAUSE OF SPOILERS! SORRY BUT YOU CAN LOOK AT THE SUMMARY IF YOU CLICK THE LINK------------ http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/12924253-once

Thoughts: I think that Once was a very different book then Eve was but they still had the same idea. Only, in Eve it was all about her trying to get away from the school and trying to find Calafia to find her safe place. Now, in Once, Eve is trying to hide from the King and be with Caleb when he can't be with her. Anyway, I don't want to go to far into that because I do not want to give anything away.
Once was a good novel and one thing that I really liked was the idea of forbidden love between Eve and Caleb throughout the book for reasons that will stay nameless for people who have yet to read the books. The whole idea that Caleb and Eve couldn't see each other made Once such an itching read because you were waiting for them to get together and when Eve and Caleb try to meet yo wait for that moment of relief when their eyes first meet and you know that they can be together again, (for a little bit)!
Anna Carey yet again did a fabulous job with the writing of her novel and makeing the story really come to life which is one of the big things that I love about Anna Carey's books because she is just amazing at what she does. I love reading her books and I am really excitied for the next in her Eve series and for other books.
Once by Anna Carey was a good book, not one of the best books ever. It was well done and is worth a read. If you did really like Eve then you will most likely have the same result with Once. I gave Once 4/5 stars because it was a good book and is one that will leave you hanging waiting for the next book.

Rating: 4/5 stars
Rocmmended for people who like: Eve by Anna Carey, dystopian, romance and adventure
